2023 MTV Video Music Awards| 2023 MTV VMAs Winners

2023 MTV Video Music Awards were held on September 12, 2023, at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Nicki Minaj hosted the show for the second year in a row, and it was the first time the ceremony was held on a Tuesday.

A new award category called “Show of the Summer” was given out this year through fan votes. Shakira was given the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award; Diddy was given the Global Icon Award.

The nominees for the Group of the Year, Show of the summer, Album of the Year, and Song of the Summer were announced on September.

Taylor Swift received eleven nominations, followed by SZA with eight nominations, Doja Cat with six nominations, Miley Cyrus with six nominations, and Nicki Minaj with six nominations, Blackpink with six nominations, and Olivia Rodrigo with six nominations.

2023 MTV Video Music Awards : Voted categories

The victors of the accompanying classes were picked by fan votes. The primary round of casting a ballot known as the “General Democratic Period” started on August 8:12pm ET.

For the classifications which chosen people were declared on the equivalent day and finished up on September 1:6pm ET, with the exception of Best New Craftsman which closed on September 12:10pm ET.

Deciding in favor of the Demonstration of the Late spring started on September 3:11am ET and finished up on September 4:11am ET. Deciding in favor of the Gathering of the Year started on September 4 : 11am ET and closed on September 7 11am ET.

Deciding in favor of the Melody of Summer started on September 7: 11am ET and finished up on September 11:11am ET.Deciding in favor of the Collection of the Year started on September 11:11am ET and finished up on September 12:11am ET.

Voting Rules for  2023 Video Music Awards according to MTV as follows

The Authority Casting a ballot Framework for the 2023 Video Music Grants as indicated by MTV as follows.Every citizen should be no less than 13 years or more seasoned to partake in the democratic.

General Voting  Period

  • The principal round of casting a ballot was known as the “General Democratic Period” and included the greater part of the casted a ballot classifications (15 out of 19 categories).
  • It started on August 8 12pm ET, and closed on September 1 6pm ET, with the exception of Best New Craftsman which finished up on September 12 10pm ET.
  • Through Vote.MTV.com, each voter can vote up to ten times per category per day.
  • Citizens ought to have endorsed in to their MTV.com Record as its important to restrict their votes across the devices.

Two fold Days and Power Hours

  • There were three “Twofold Days” with “Power Hours”.
  • August 8 12pm to 11:59pm ET
  • August 9 12am to 11:59am ET
  • September 1 12am to 6pm ET

During these periods casting a ballot limits were multiplied

 Instagram Story Voting

  • The second round of voting, which includes Group of the Year, Show of the Summer, Album of the Year, and Song of the Summer, is known as the “Instagram Story Voting.Each voter can vote up to 20 times per category per day.
  • It was held through MTV’s Instagram stories from September 3 11am ET to September 12 11am ET.
  • Electors can cast a ballot by tapping on their #1 Chosen people on Instagram surveying stickers.

Single-round voting

It took place on September 3 to 4 and September 11 to 12, respectively, for the Single-Round Voting Show of the Summer and Album of the Year.

The triple-round voting

  • Triple-round Voting Group of the Year took place from September 4 to September 7.
  • Nominees will advance to the following round based on their bracket standings in each round.

Four Round Voting

  • Song of Summer’s “four-round voting” took place from September 7 to September 11.
